This week a beautiful ceremony was held for the new digital & traditional art room at the Mayanei Hayeshua mental health center. It is a treatment room for mentally challenged patients at the hospital, donated by Varda and Zadok Dror in memory of the late Ben Mor, who was killed about three years ago in a car accident.
Varda and Zadok Dror and their family members participated in the ceremony, as well as the family of the late Ben Mor, in whose memory the room was dedicated.
In addition, Rabbi Eliyahu Chazot, rabbi of the “Hichal Haim” congregation, and Rabbanit Nechama Shaki, a central activist in the “Neveh Avivim” congregation, honored the event with their presence.
The ceremony was moderated by Mr. Chaim Fachler, director of foreign relations, during which Sara Mor, mother of the late Ben Mor, spoke moving words about her son.
In addition, the hospital’s CEO Shlomo Rothschild, Dr. Dorit Tex-Manova, the hospital’s medical director, and Prof. Strauss, director of the Mayanei Hayeshua mental health center, also spoke at the ceremony.
“I believe that art and the soul are one,” says Tami Deutsch, in charge of the digital art room. “For the patients at our center, the room is a point of light that allows them to disconnect from everyday difficulties and immerse themselves in creation. The atmosphere here is always calm and warm, and the place does not feel like a hospital room. Patients love to come here for relaxation and therapy, hours of fun and a personal experience.”
