Using Natural Language Processing (NLP), computers skim intake and clinical records to find patterns that will guide treatment and improve outcomes. In addition, these newly established data reserves will be a boon to further research by providing practitioners and researchers with the basis for testing hypotheses and bringing new ideas to life. As the first Israeli healthcare institution to use AI to advance mental health care and one of only a handful in the world, the RIM will be both an Israeli and global leader.
Examples of research topics: The efficacy and ethics of brain stimulation; Multi-disciplinary approaches to aging; The causes of bipolar and other mood disorders, etc.
The institute is headed by Dr. Or Friedman, and is working collaboratively with JCT institute.
