The director of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Ronan Liebster, joined Mayanei Hayeshua in 2009 and established the emergency medicine specialization department at Mayanei Hayeshua. As part of his duties, he established and promoted training programs at the Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in addition to long-term collaborations with a variety of medical services providers in the community, including various health organizations and emergency medical services, and he maintains continuous contact with various hospitals and medical organizations
